Above is my grandson "Jase" and one of my fur babies "Josie" in an antique toddler bed I was lucky to find and purchase last year. It will be wonderful for displaying some of my crib quilts in. I put it in an extra bedroom. The picture below shows some more detail. The pictures were taken a few months ago, my grandson is a year old already. I love using antiques and unique items to furnish my home.
I have been working on my Grand Illusion mystery quilt as time and life permits and am hoping to have the top sewn and in a flimsy status by the end of next Sunday. I have my 25 blocks completed. Some are pictured above and some below. I like to pin blocks to my lace curtains to use as a design wall sometimes. I baby sat my grandson this weekend and last weekend my dad was in the hospital, so I am further behind than I was hoping to be at this time. I am not rushing things though and am enjoying making this quilt. My corner squares will be scrappy and will be assorted reds, like I used in my blocks. I really love this quilt! I am happy with my color choices too. I am linking up with Bonnie Hunter in Quiltville this week. There are many people that have their quilts completed already, amazing. Thank you Bonnie Hunter for another amazing mystery quilt. Here is the link to check out everyone else's blogs and progress at Quiltville
Thanks for checking out my blog! Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Blessings,
Lisa
My sashings below. Vintage television trays work great for keeping track of units and blocks when making a quilt.
It is looking very nice! Your TV tray is very pretty, too. I wonder how many babies have slept in that antique crib over the years.
