Bonnie Hunter Grand Illusion Mystery quilt ink up Quiltville
It is going to be an amazing quilt. She released the final layout and directions last night New Years Eve. I love it. I will be working on putting mine together these next few days.
Above are my part 4 clues completed. I want my quilt to have a wintery/Christmasy feel to it so I chose deep greens and reds for in my quilt.
I used my Pfaff quilt Expression 4.0 for my clue 3 units. I like to use a variety of machines. All my other machines are vintage and antique and all are a lot of fun to sew with. My Pfaff is nice because its in a Koala cabinet.
40 of my clue 3 broken dishes units finished above. Below are my other 40 waiting to be ironed and pairs sewn together.
My husband made me this oak recipe box for Christmas. I LOVE it. He even dove-tailed the joints. I collect vintage recipe cards and have been wanting one to put my cards and recipes in.
My 1 year old grandson on Christmas. I baby sit him on my days off work when his parents are both working. He is my little buddy.
Hoping everyone has a wonderful New Year. Blessings and good health to all of you.
Lisa
Happy new year to you!
ReplyDeleteI've been spending all day making extra mystery components. Looks like you will have a nice new Christmas quilt for next year!
Yours should be a very cozy Christmas quilt with the darker greens and reds giving it a vintage feel. Cute grandson too!
ReplyDeleteYour color choices are awesome! I can't wait to see your quilt top together. Thanks for commenting on my blog last week!
